This is an unfinished Atari 2600 game from around 2003, originally planned to be released in cartridge format.

I am submitting this as a 3:34 minutes video with commentary to the game. I am also attaching the game executables, but I kindly ask you to use the video for the compo as it is a more comprehensive way of showing gameplay and sharing some backstory on the production.

*** Game description: ***

The game is an action puzzle. Player controls the constantly bouncing ball and the objective is to destroy all the checkered tiles by bouncing on them while avoiding falling off the playfield. 
Different tiles have a specific effect on the ball: some can’t be destroyed, others push you in a specific direction, while another one triggers a “double jump”. More variety was planned for the types of tiles available. 

Back then, I have created a level editor with the aim of running a competition for people to submit the best levels to be included in the final game. I have also programmed a tracker-like application to make a soundtrack.

In the video commentary, I show the above and describe some of the tech behind the game.
